VIDEO COLLABORATION ALERT!
This weekend, I got together with my friend and fellow biologist Benito Wainwright. We are both absolutely nuts about nature, so we decided to go for a stroll in our local patch. Not even the foul English weather could dampen our spirits; we set off across the field-turned-mire, binoculars in hand.
Even though the fields and woods looked pretty bleak, we saw a whole host of different birds and deer. The icing on the cake came in the form of an adorable collie puppy called Loki, who gratefully received our pats and kisses.
Just as we were about to head home, we decided to take a diversion through a field neither of us had explored before. We were rewarded with a swarm of one of my favourite animals: bees! Although the hives looked pretty inactive at first, it didn’t take long until the air was filled with the sound of buzzing wings. As you’ll find out in the video, I wasn’t so keen on bees by the end of the day.
Check out Benito’s youtube channel for heaps more amazing videos; he is one of my greatest inspirations, and I’m sure you’ll understand why once you’ve seen his channel. In a shameless self-plug, please subscribe to my youtube channel as well. I already have a couple of videos uploaded but I’m hoping to expand in the New Year, so watch this space!
Anyway, enough of me. Enjoy the video!
